Forbes lists 7 Colorado companies as “most promising”

Forbes lists seven Colorado companies, including Smashburger as No. 1, in its 2011 list of the nation’s 100 most promising privately held firms. Allonhill, the mortgage-risk auditor; Four Winds Interactive, a software provider; Latisys, which operates data-storage centers; Market Force, a consultant to retailers; Performance Enhancing Meat Snacks, which makes a beef jerky and other meat snacks; and Inspirato, a members-only luxury vacation club, make up the rest of the seven. The magazine identifies the 100 firms as having “compelling business models, strong management teams, notable customers, strategic partners and precious investment capital.” Other small business owners might look to the companies for inspiration and best practices.
